2. Our products

We sell a range of graduation stoles, including plain, personalised, flag, kente and bespoke designs.

Some products are made to order or personalised using the details you provide, such as your name, degree or course title, class year, flag choices, wording, logos, symbols or bespoke design requests.

Product images are provided as examples. Colours, fabric placement, embroidery size and layout may vary slightly depending on the design, screen settings and production process.

3. Placing an order

When placing an order, please ensure all information is complete and accurate.

This includes:

• Name

• Email address

• Delivery address

• Personalisation details

• Degree or course title

• Class year

• Flag choices

• Custom wording

• Bespoke design instructions

• Required dates or deadlines

We are not responsible for delays or errors caused by incorrect, incomplete or unclear information provided by the customer.

4. Personalisation details

For personalised items, the details you provide will be used to create your stole.

Please check all spelling, dates, flags, wording and layout requests carefully before submitting your order.

If you provide incorrect information, we may not be able to offer a refund, replacement or free correction once production has started.

5. Digital mockup approval

Personalised and bespoke stoles may include a digital mockup for approval before production.

Mockups are usually sent within 24–48 hours after purchase, although this may vary during busy periods.

Production begins after your mockup has been approved. Please review your mockup carefully before approving it.

If you approve a mockup containing incorrect details that you provided or confirmed, we may not be able to offer a refund or replacement.

If the final product differs from the approved mockup due to an error on our part, please contact us so we can review the issue.

6. Bespoke designs

Bespoke designs start from £95. The final price depends on the level of customisation required.

More detailed designs, additional wording, symbols, logos, artwork, complex layouts or group designs may require a custom quote before production.

If your bespoke design includes logos, artwork, symbols or reference images, please only submit materials you have permission to use.

We reserve the right to refuse design requests that cannot be produced, are unsuitable, infringe intellectual property rights or are outside the scope of our service.

 

7. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in GBP.

We reserve the right to update our prices at any time. The price you pay will be the price shown at the time you place your order, unless a custom quote has been agreed separately.

Full payment is required before production begins, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

For bespoke or complex orders, additional charges may apply after your request has been reviewed. Any additional cost will be confirmed before production continues.

 

8. Production times

Production times vary depending on the product ordered and the level of customisation required.

For personalised and bespoke stoles, please allow up to 21 days for production after your digital mockup has been approved.

Production time does not include delivery time.

Delays in providing details, approving mockups or responding to messages may delay your order.

9. Delivery

Delivery times are in addition to the production timeframe and depend on the shipping option selected at checkout.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive any available tracking information by email.

We are not responsible for delays caused by courier services, incorrect delivery details, customs checks, incomplete order information or circumstances outside our control.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or local delivery charges that may apply.

10. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Please refer to our Returns Policy for full details.

As many of our products are personalised, custom-made or made to order, returns and refunds may not be available once production has started, unless the item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your order.

11. Uploaded files and design references

If you upload or email logos, artwork, sketches, previous stole examples or reference images, these will be used only to review and prepare your design request.

Uploading or sending a reference image does not guarantee that the exact design can be recreated.

We may need to simplify, adjust or quote separately for complex designs.

12. Intellectual property

All website content, including text, images, branding, product photography and design examples, belongs to Black Excellence Grads or is used with permission.

You must not copy, reproduce, edit, distribute or use our website content or product images without permission.

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have permission to use any logos, artwork, images, symbols or wording they provide for a bespoke design.

 

13. Website use

You agree not to misuse our website, attempt to interfere with its operation, submit false information or use the site for unlawful purposes.

We may update, suspend or remove parts of the website at any time.

14. Limitation of liability

We aim to provide accurate product information and a reliable service. However, we cannot guarantee that the website will always be available or free from errors.

We are not responsible for losses caused by delays, incorrect customer information, courier issues, third-party services or circumstances outside our control.

Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights.
